Cafe Desta

Located south of downtown at the "five points" intersection where Stone meets 6th Avenue at 18th street, Cafe Desta offers a variety of traditional Ethiopian dishes served and eaten with injera bread, ranging from mild to spicy. Cafe Desta's food is generally less oily and heavy than that found at Tucson's other Ethiopian restaurants, and their three-item combo meal includes a salad.

Vegan dishes include:

Misr (spicy): Red split lentils cooked with onions, berbere and herbs

Fosolia: Green beans, carrots and onions simmered in tomato sauce

Zemam's is an Ethiopian restaurant with a variety of vegan dishes ranging from mild to spicy, eaten with traditional injera bread. The popular Veggie Sampler gives you three dishes for one price.
